Teaching Reform Program of Foreign Language Department
I General Objectives :
The following are the general objectives of our teaching reform program :
--- To further strengthen the concept of foreign education which is centered on quality education and continuing education;
---To standardize the management of education and treading;
---To accelerate the pace of modernization in the construction of teaching methods ;
---To upgrade the academic creditable of teachers and redesign the structure of professional |technical job +titles;
--To strengthen the development of courses and subjects;
--To allocate resources for a more efficient operation of undergranguate education;
--To diversify the means of promoting higher professional educational to continually develop adult education.
Strategies:
A Strengthen the management of teaching. Follow the management principle of standardization, efficiently, high quality.”Establish the evaluations system of education in order to guarantee the quality of teaching. ensure that everyone undertakes his /her respective responsibilities.
B Further improve the system of supervision to assure teaching quality ,carry out wore effectively the mechanism of supervision: supervision system .such mechanisms contribute to the overall evaluation of teaching effectiveness .
C Follow the students – centered principle in classroom teaching .provide adequate space for the expression of the students creativity, initiative, self—discipline, and spirit of con-cooperation .Reinforce and guide the organization of extracurricular activities.
D Consolidate the reform of teaching methods and teaching means. the reform of teaching methods should be oriented towards the development of students, creative spirit and abilities .it should emphasize the importance of encouraging the uniqueness of each student. the thrust of classroom teaching is to inspire, guide, and encourage students to be more actively and to think more undependably in their learning must also demonstrate the use of English in daily life and discourage the mentality of examination learning .
E Attach importance to the direction and animation of students, extracurricular activities. Promote the development of stints patriotism and collectivism, paying close attention to the enhancement of the students, knowledge of government policy and |
